Palazzo
Grandiben is a classic 15C Palazzo situated on the quiet Rio Ca
Da Dio a ten minute walk from St. Marks Square.
The entrance
to Palazzo Grandiben is through the double doors on the Ponte Erizzo
(the Watergate entrance is only used on special occasions
now). The high-ceilinged hall, with its marble columns and floor,
leads to a traditional wide staircase . The apartments are on the
second floor,
the front doors on each side of the landing.
Both apartments
have recently been fully refurbished while retaining their traditional,
elegant character. The have the high ceilings
appropriate to a second Piano Nobile which allow them to be cool
in summer while
still being able to be heated properly in winter. They have Venetian
terrazzo floors throughout except in two of the bedrooms.
